Notes: Jack has another disastrous mess to clean up. A double drabble.

Jack stared down at the two bodies dispassionately as the lights continued to flicker in the  basement. One was an unfortunate casualty that he could have done without. Poor kid never stood a chance. She didn't deserve to die like that, alone and no doubt terrified. He should have been able to prevent it.

The other body was the one that interested him more. It was an impossibility that he hadn't believed could exist - a mechanical monster that had been wiped from existence during that battle of Canary Wharf. He'd seen to it that ever last scrap of cyberman was destroyed, melted down, incinerated beyond any kind of resurrection. He hadn't anticipated this, though. Hadn't believed that one of their own could be so foolhardy as to harbour one, to try and give life to its dying form, to the point where it was string enough to once again take hold and begin  rebuilding its army.

'I want that thing gone,' he commanded. 'Take it apart and burn both the bodies. Then dismantle everything in here and burn it as well.'

'What about him?' Owen asked, nodding at the broken young man.

Burning him too might have been a mercy.
