Notes: Jack can always find more paperwork for Ianto. A double drabble.

'I'm really sorry about this,' Ianto said, leaning over the counter and filling out the requisite paperwork attached to the clipboard.

'I don't think you are,' the tired constable behind the counter replied. 'This is what, the third time in as many months?'

'It's a high pressure environment,' Ianto attempted to explain. 'Sometimes tensions run high and people say things they don't really mean.'

The constable picked up his file, flipping it open and lifting up the top page. 'He called us "a pack of idiots who wouldn't know which end of a crayon to write with",' he recited.

Ianto internalised his eye roll so as not to make matters worse. It wasn't a flattering thing to say to the police, let alone their highest ranking detective inspector. He wasn't known for entertaining polite, rational arguments, let alone bold-faced insults of the kind that Jack could dish out in spades. At least he hadn't punched anyone this time.

'Can I please get a receipt this time?' Ianto asked, handing over the company credit card in order to pay Jack's bail.

'Think we're going to slap a few extra zeroes on the end?'

'Nope. Just need it for next year's budget.'

Poor Ianto, the things he has to deal with thanks to Jack!

I hate to think of all the years before he came along. Jack must have spent an inordinate amount of time in police custody!
