Notes: All these years and Andy is still left in the dark. A double drabble.

Andy nearly jumped out of his skin at the sudden hand that clapped him on the shoulder. He'd been so preoccupied with watching the Torchwood team pacing efficiently around his crime scene that he'd almost forgotten that he was technically in charge of the scene.

'Sorry, Andy,' Jack apologised, big charming grin plastered all over his face. 'Did I frighten you there?'

Andy shrugged off the hand without replying. 'Are you going to tell me what's going on in there?' He hadn't had a chance to enter the house before Jack's large frame had speed in front of him, blocking the door. Right now his imagination was simply left to run wild with the possibilities.

'Trust me, Andy. It's way above your pay grade.'

Andy scowled at the Torchwood leader. 'Don't insult my intelligence, Jack. I've seen plenty of weird Torchwood things. Why won't you ever tell me the real story? Can handle it. Swear it won't go in my report to the brass.'

'Sorry, Andy. No can do.'

The whine of airbrakes hissed behind them. 'Oi! Where'd you want this then?' Rhys called out.

'Back her up the drive!' Jack yelled back.

Andy folded his arms. 'So not fair.'
