Summary: Ianto's family don't always see him as reliable. A double drabble.
'You're here,' Rhiannon remarked, studying her brother as he stood in her doorway.
'I said I'd be here, didn't I?' There was more than an undercurrent of annoyance in his reply.
'Doesn't mean much when you say it,' she retorted, letting him inside. 'Always promise to be round for tea and you never do, or you turn up three hours late after everyone is about to go to bed.'
He bit down a response he wouldn't be able to take back. It was true he didn't have a great track record but that was just the job. It didn't care about spag bol Wednesday or fish and chips Friday. There was no choice which was more important but he felt he had to say something. 'You will always be able to count on me when it matters.' And he meant it. He'd do whatever he could to protect his family. He'd nearly lost them once, but never again.
Rhiannon nodded her approval at him. 'Good. Nice to know we still rate.'
'Don't push it,' he warned.
She huffed. 'Fine. Now get over here and help hold up the other end of this shelf whilst I screw it to the wall.'
