Notes: Today is a big day but Jack doesn't seem as enthusiatic as everyone else. A double drabble.

'Are you lot coming or what?' Owen yelled out, tugging on his jacket as he headed for the door.

'I'm here,' Tosh said jogging over to join him.

'Be there in a few minutes,' Ianto promised. 'Everything's already up there, just watch yourself on the roof,' he warned. 'It's still a little slippery after this morning's dew.'

'Good to know,' Owen said. 'Don't wanna be patching up anybody who goes and falls off the Millennium Centre roof.' He slipped his sunglasses on and held out a hand for Tosh. 'Can I escort you?'

Gwen watched them leave with amusement at their behaviour after just one date. 'Coming Jack? Not every day Cardiff hosts a total solar eclipse.'

'Once in a lifetime event,' Ianto added.

Jack shook his head. 'A solar eclipse is nothing. Getting to watch a sun explode and wipe out a whole solar system. Now that is a once in a lifetime event.'

Gwen frowned at him and the disturbing excitement in his voice at watching a whole system of planets and life being obliterated. 'Yeah, well just so long as that doesn't happen in my lifetime. Not sure I'll feel quiet as excited about it as you.'

I have to say I agree. I'd rather watch a solar eclipse than watch the sun explode.
