Notes: Jack can only tolerate so much before he snaps. A double drabble.

The scream from the blowfish could be heard all the way across the hub. Gwen leapt from her chair and raced down the steep concrete stairs to the interrogation room below. Owen was hot on her heels whilst Tosh waited back, watching from the viewing platform above.

Where before the blowfish had been cuffed to both the table and the chair, now it was pressed to the floor, Jack sitting all his weight on top of it and pulling back hard on its cranial fun, causing it to scream out in agony again.

'Jack, stop!' Gwen commanded. 'That's enough.'

Jack didn't let go. 'Oh, this? I'm just getting warmed up for the main event.'

'Get him off me!' the blowfish wailed. 'He's going to kill me!'

'Didn't see you showing too much mercy to those kids,' Jack threatened. 'One of my team has a broken wrist because of you.'

'He'd had a gun pointed at me. He got what he deserved,' it spat back.

'Jack,' Gwen warned again. 'Don't. We're better than them.'

Jack's face twisted in anger but he reluctantly let go, stepping back and wiping a hand across his mouth. 'Be grateful my husband is the forgiving type.'
