Summary: The start of their vacation looks anything but promising. A double drabble.
Jack let the suitcases drop with a thud on the concrete, tipping back his sunglasses. 'Welcome to paradise!' he announced.
Ianto frowned at him like he'd lost his mind. Even as he did so, he could feel the rainwater rushing over the tops of his flip-flops, soaking his bare feet. Calling the rain torrential was an understatement. He could barely make out ten feet in front of him, let alone whether there was a taxi anywhere in sight coming to pick them up from the airport. 'Some paradise,' he muttered.
'It's just a bit of rain, Ianto.' Jack spread his arms wide. 'Just feel that humidity!'
Ianto couldn't tell if it was humidity or just the rain soaking the back of his t-shirt. Either way it clung uncomfortably to his skin. He'd been expecting blue skies and warm sunshine, not muggy air and thunderstorms. 'Great way to start our vacation,' he grumbled. 'Two years in the making and if I'd wanted rain I could have stayed home.'
'Ianto Jones,' Jack scolded, 'if you're going to moan I'll put you right back on that plane and send you home. When the sun comes out an hour from now you'll thank me.'
