Notes: Jack is stuck for ideas and needs some help. A double drabble.

Jack flipped his computer screen around as Ianto entered to drop off a file. 'What do you think, Ianto? Box of chocolates or a bottle of wine?'

'One of each thanks, since you're offering,' Ianto said, grinning.

Jack sighed. 'Not for you. I mean, for Detective Swanson. Do you think she's a chocolate gal or a booze gal? I'm trying to mend a few fences and figure a little peace offering wouldn't go astray.'  

Ianto settled into the seat opposite Jack's desk. 'I think your first mistake would be referring to her as a gal.'  

'You know what I mean. I don't want to get her chocolates and then find out she thinks I'm trying to make her fat or something. You know how women can be.'

'Just you keep digging that gender sexist hole, Captain,' Ianto warned him. 'You'll hit China soon.' It was going to take more than a bottle of plonk to win over the Detective.

'So help me, then!'

'Can I put you in touch with a travel agent? Perhaps a long weekend in Spain?'

Jack leaned back in his chair, grinning. 'Well, that's sounds great, but I'm still wondering what we're supposed to buy Kathy.'

Maybe Jack should start with the wine and work his way up to offering all expenses paid vacations.

It's a tough one. For all they put her through, a bottle of plonk might not cut it! :)
