Notes: The team have dodged a fashion disaster. A double drabble.

Jack collapsed on the sofa in an exhausted heap. 'Finally! I didn't think those guys were ever going to leave!'

Ianto slumped down on his left and Gwen flopped down on his right. The former began massaging his foot whilst the latter had drummed up furry slippers from somewhere and was now lounging both fluffy feet up on the coffee table.

'I have to say,' Ianto began, 'that the hub is definitely not made for going around barefoot. Too many metal grates with big holes and sharp edges. And it's cold.'

Jack gazed at his own feet joining Gwen's on the table. They were pretty cold, he realised. It was probably going to take a nice hot bath to get the feeling back in them. 'A little suffering was worth it. Those guys were convinced that planet Earth was the next stop on their intergalactic sock emporium business. We had to convince them that socks would never take off here, otherwise they'd have every shop converted into a sock shop. Society as we know it would end.'

'Very Hitchhiker's,' Ianto mused. 'Except with socks instead of shoes.'

'Don't laugh,' Jack warned them. 'Out there this kind of stuff really happens.'
