Summary: There's only one edible thing, and Jack isn't allowed to have it. A double drabble.

'Are you going to eat that?' Jack asked, pointing hopefully at the tiny plastic cup of red gelatine.

Ianto looked up at him from the hospital bed. 'No.'

'Excellent,' Jack replied, reaching over him to snaffle the cup and plastic spoon that went with it. The entire tray of food was an environmentalists worst nightmare. If it wasn't made of plastic it was wrapped in a layer of the stuff.

'That doesn't mean you get to eat it,' Ianto said, snatching back the cup of jelly and setting it on the edge of the crisp white bedsheets.

Jack pouted at him. 'How come? You said you weren't going to eat it. In fact,' he said, scowling at the tray of food, 'you haven't eaten anything. How do you expect to get your strength back if you refuse to eat? Do I have to force feed you? Or would you rather I get one of those naughty nurses to do it?'

'Have you seen what's hiding under those lids?' Ianto asked. 'You'd swear off food as well if that was the best on offer.'

'So, why can't I have the jelly?'

'I'm saving it for David and Mica when they visit.'

Aw, what a good uncle!

If Jack wants Ianto to get his strength back he should bring him edible food.
