Notes: Gwen becomes an unwitting guinea pig for Jack and Owen. A double drabble.

'It's alien fruit?' Gwen raised her eyebrow questioningly at Owen. She didn't always believe the things he told her. Owen liked to mess with her because even after two years, she was still the newest member of the team.

Owen looked up at her from where he had the five round green fruit on a metal tray. 'You ever eaten kiwifruit?'

She rolled her eyes. 'Of course I've eaten kiwifruit.'

'Yeah, well it doesn't taste anything like them.'

She punched his arm. 'You're such a prat, sometimes.'

He sniggered. 'Yeah, I know.' He cut one open with his scalpel and cut it into wedges, offering her one.

She took it and sniffed it, before biting into the sweet smelling green flesh. 'Oh God!' she cried, spitting it out on the floor and wiping her mouth. 'What the hell?'

Owen's smirk was priceless. 'Yeah, Jack said our taste buds aren't sufficiently evolved to associate the flavour with the smell. I just needed a guinea pig to prove it. I was going to try it on Ianto but you got here first.'

'You bastard!'

'Don't blame me. I thought Jack was bullshitting. He was bound to test it on one of us.'
