Notes: Jack is trying to make Ianto's life easier. A double drabble.

Ianto waved his shopping list in the air as he stood by Jack's doorway. 'I'm off to the shops. Can you let me know what I should buy? That new alien you and Owen brought in late last night? What does it like to eat, do we know?'

'Fruit, mostly.'

Ianto nodded. 'Okay, no problem. I'll put it on the list. Any preferences?'

Jack seemed to think about it. 'Anything that doesn't have large indigestible stones or pips, and nothing with thick skins.'

Ianto made a note. 'So, that would be no to peaches, nectarines, apricots, mangoes, pineapple, bananas, all kinds of melons and citrus. That doesn't leave a lot. Presumably apples are okay? I'm happy to buy other fruits and peel them or cut them up if that helps. God knows I wouldn't want to just eat apples for the rest of my life.'

Jack smiled. 'That's very generous, but let's just stick to apples for now.'

'Are you sure? It's really no trouble.'

'It's going to eat two hundred pounds a day,' Jack told him. 'Unless you want to spend the rest of your life peeling fruit?'

Ianto scratched the words off his list. 'Apples it is, then.'

I hope they don't have to keep this alien long! Buying that many apples is not going to be easy.
