Notes: Owen is having trouble feeding. A double drabble.

Owen growled under his breath as the tiny alien refused to eat. ‘You are driving me nuts, you know that?’ he said, addressing the wrinkly grey thing lying snug in the towel on his table. Owen couldn't get it to eat or drink anything no matter what he tried. That was his biggest immediate headache. Twenty four hours had gone by and he hadn't managed to get it to ingest anything. The longer this went on, the more lethargic it was getting, and even more disinterested in food than before. He was running out of time.

‘Please,’ Owen begged. ‘Something, anything.’

‘Owen! How's our littlest guest getting on?’

‘Not well. I can't get it to eat anything. I tried water, milk, something Ianto cooked up that might have once been porridge… It won't eat or drink anything.’

‘Did you try adding honey?’

Owen raised his eyebrows. ‘Honey?’

Jack shook his head. ‘Don't you know anything about babies? If you want them to eat, you've got to add a little something sweet so it reminds them of their mother's milk. Trust me on this.’

‘Why? You've had kids?’

He shrugged. ‘I just would've thought a doctor would know stuff like that.’
