Notes: Sometimes ignorance is bliss, and handy when dealing with arachnids. A double drabble.

‘Jack, whatever you do, don't move,’ Ianto said as he stepped into the cells where Jack had just locked up their latest weevil for the night.

‘Why not?’

‘Because we're playing a game,’ Ianto explained, ‘and the rules are that you're not allowed to move even a single solitary inch, and if you play by the rules you get a special reward from me at the end.’

Jack grinned. ‘Oh, I think I like the sound of it already. Wait, does talking count as moving?’

‘You can talk all you want just so long as the rest of you doesn't move.’

‘Phew. I thought I was out of the game already!’

‘Nope.’ Ianto reached over his shoulder, still clutching the manila file in his hand as he did so. ‘No moving whatsoever,’ he reminded Jack.

‘Yes, sir.’

Ianto's arm moved, flicking the file sideways and a large black creature scuttled away.

‘Argh! Spider!’ Jack yelled, even as the thing was retreating in a hurry. ‘Kill it! Kill it!’

‘It won't eat much. I think we can let it live.’

‘Why did you tell me not to move when that was right behind me!’

Ianto rolled his eyes. ‘Isn't it obvious?’
