Summary: Gwen is literaly out on a limb to retrieve their latest visitor. A double drabble.

Gwen stared up at the tree and knew that she had her work cut out for her. Jack had told her it should be a simple job, the signal being something he'd come across before and which Tosh had confirmed visually from a nearby CCTV camera.

Of course, dealing with a harmless little alien wasn't the problem. It was the fact that the alien had, in the time it had taken her to get here, decided to go and climb up into the trees that filled Bute Park.

She'd tried to coax it down but the little possum type creature was clutching determinedly to one of the outermost branches. She was going to have to go up there and get it.

Trees in Bute Park were not made for climbing, even in her sneakers, and they were also very thick trunked. She persisted despite a few scrapes, finally reaching the large branch and sliding carefully out on it so it didn't break under her weight. The alien squealed at the sight of her and scuttled straight into her arms, snuggling into her jacket. She'd anticipated having to chase it, so this was unexpected. She must look like a giant possum.
