Summary: Ianto is confused about Jack's latest acquisition. Sequel to Hot Property. A double drabble.

Jack was determined to prove to Ianto that there was absolutely no reason to fear spending the night in his new apartment. He thought it would be nice to have a weekend getaway spot that wasn't home. Somewhere with fancy appliances and luxurious furniture that made it like staying in a five star hotel.

Skypoint had a bad reputation, none of which was really its fault. Two alien invasions in as many years had left a sour taste in the mouths of its original investors, but someone had propped it back up again. He'd gotten the bay view villa for a song and no one else was living on this floor, making it even more secluded.

Thirteen might be unlucky for some, but not Jack. Humans had all kinds of crazy superstitions but it was just a number. If a building was infested with aliens, it wouldn't matter which floor you lived on.

He wouldn't mention that the first time he'd visited to get measurements for the furniture that the kettle had shorted out, or that he'd slipped on the balcony and split his skull. That was just clumsiness and a cheap imported kettle. Skypoint was one hundred percent safe.

Considering life with Torchwood, those little incidents probably do count as minor.
