Summary: The hub is shaken by an unk own force.

Jack became distracted by the movement of his water glass. It had caught his eye and now he watched as the surface rippled in concentric circles. It shouldn't be doing that.

'Jack, all the cups on top of the coffee machine just started tinkling together,' Ianto said, jogging into his office, looking worried.

'Okay, so not my imagination then,' Jack muttered.

'You don't think-' Ianto didn't get to finish his sentence as the whole hub began to shake violently. Jack grabbed the edges of his desk as Ianto leaned himself against the doorway, neither a particularly stable option, but all they had. The tremor lasted only ten seconds but it was enough to displace everything loose, tumbling it to the floor, leaving them feeling equally shaken.

'What the hell was that?' Ianto asked. 'Earthquake?'

'Or rift quake,' Jack offered, studying his wrist strap data with a frown.

'It can do that?'

'A shock wave travelling through the rift with sufficient force, yeah.'

'Great. Just another reason to be worried about working in an underground bunker. Buried alive. Not how I'd prefer to go.'

'Question is, what caused it, and did it come through the rift along with our shock wave?'
