Summary: Owen has his hands full keeping the team alive in difficult conditions. A double drabble.
Owen shuddered as the chill ran through him from another icy blast of wind. 'How high up are we now, Tosh?' he yelled over the howling winds, snaking their way through the snow covered mountains.
'Just over three and a half thousand feet above sea level,' she yelled back, studying the PDA which was sealed inside a snaplock bag.
Christ, Owen thought. If he'd known they'd be this high up he would have insisted on them carrying bottled oxygen. The team weren't accustomed to being at altitude and there were serious medical complications far worse than a bit of frostbite if the weather didn't let up soon. Stupid Torchwood, Owen cursed. Couldn't get a wacky signal coming from somewhere in the Caribbean, could they? Had to be somewhere up in the middle of the bloody Himalayas, didn't it?
'We should stop for a bit,' Gwen suggested. 'Rest.'
'No way,' Owen replied. If they stopped that would be suicidal. They needed to keep moving and find this bloody cave Tosh seemed to think was up here. Only then could they rest and regroup. Without Jack, Owen felt responsible for them. He planned on getting them in and out of here alive.
