Summary: Ianto is faced with a difficult choice. A double drabble.
Ianto gave the sky a furtive glance as he stepped out of the SUV. Black clouds were rolling across the sky in dark, ominous waves, turning a mildly bright afternoon into one bordering on nightfall. He cast his gaze left towards the docks and saw more black storm clouds gathering our presence over the channel. Already the sea looked choppy and unpleasant. He'd never gotten his sea legs and just the thought of trying to take a boat out on that water made his stomach churn.
‘No chance, mate,’ said the rough looking sea dog who usually captained their jaunts out to Flat Holm, meeting him at the top of the quay. ‘Forecasting twenty foot swells. Have to wait until morning.’
Ianto chewed his lip, equal parts relieved and troubled. He couldn't take the young man he'd found back to the hub and put him in a cell after being spat out by the rift. He needed care and a warm place to sleep. If not Flat Holm then… He sighed wishing not for the first time that Jack were here. He nodded and got back in the car.
‘Where are we going?’ the scared man asked.
‘Home,’ Ianto replied.
