Jack scowled at John Hart and then at the tray of weapons he'd been relieved of upon entering the hub. The tray was awfully heavy, and it had nothing to do with being part of a silver service set. Only the best for their new guest.

Jack lifted the tray from Ianto's arms. 'I'll take these. Why don't you show John to the boardroom and get him settled in there whilst we deal with these?' Gwen jogged after Jack, looking full to bursting with questions.

'Getting settled in the boardroom,' John cooed. 'Is that Jack's little euphemism for what I think it means?'

Ianto didn't like this John character one bit. Especially after he'd intimated things about his past with Jack. Partners in every way. The thought made Ianto feel sick. 'No, it's not.' He pointed towards the spiraling metal stairs with their peeling paintwork. 'That way.'

'Oh. Not exactly the warm welcome I'd been hoping for,' John murmured.

'You don't strike me as the type who gets many of those.'

John twirled halfway up the stairs making Ianto jolt. 'I'd make an exception for you. We could get very warm and cosy. In the boardroom.'

Ianto scowled back. 'Move.'
