Summary: Jack is having trouble getting everyone in the hub to behave. A double drabble.
'Hey!' Jack yelled, leaning out the doorway. 'No running in the hub!'
His words went unheeded as two children continued chasing one another around the twisting metal gangways and stairs that were an ever-present feature of the main two levels. Why had he ever not thought to do something about them before?
Overhead, Myfanwy swooped and squawked, adding to the squeals of the two children who darted by the water tower and disappeared behind the silvery edifice for a few panic-inducing moments. Jack scampered after them, catching one child as he cut them off, scooping them into his arms and the second went piling into his legs.
'Daddy wins!' Sian squealed, watching her brother clutched in Jack's arms.
Myfanwy squawked in reply.
'You're not helping,' Jack retorted at the prehistoric creature. She'd probably wound them up in the first place. Last he'd checked they'd been colouring quietly on the sofa.
'Aren't you supposed to be working?' Ianto asked, appearing from nowhere and spotting their trio.
'I was, but then these two little devils decided to risk skinning knees and breaking bones. And yes, I'll admit it, bringing them here was a bad idea.'
'Better question for you. Where's number three?'
