Summary: Agnes is getting used to dealing with a certain Torchwood Three operative. A double drabble.
Agnes Haversham gave a tired little sigh as she was once again awoken from her deep slumber. What year in Cardiff's history was this, she wondered, stepping out of the warehouse where her body had been in storage and seeing that familiar overcast sky. The weather scarcely mattered when she knew the only reason she was here was because Torchwood were hurtling towards some cataclysm, and that it was her job to navigate them through it. The assessment part of her job was more a threat than anything else, but she liked having that power and the effect it had on those notionally in charge.
No doubt Captain Jack Harkness would still be here, she mused. He always was, and under his leadership pretty much anything might eventuate. Part of that thrilled her, the potential for limitless chaos. She'd assessed many a Torchwood leader's fitness to continue and whilst Jack would not necessarily been her first choice, sometimes it was better the devil you knew than the one you didn't. Her ability to shut Torchwood down and lock their archives forever tended to keep Jack on a tight leash when she was around, even if he sometimes temporarily forgot that.
