Summary: Andy is sure Jack will be impressed with his efforts. A double drabble.

Andy was practically bouncing on his heels as Jack exited the SUV. He could tell from the expression on Jack's face that he was already beginning to regret taking Andy's call.

'PC Davidson,' Jack said warily.

'You are in for a real treat,' Andy said, unable to keep the grin from breaking out over his face. 'I've got an alien for you. A real live alien.' He was bouncing again. 'I arrested it and cuffed, and,' he said, pulling out his notepad from inside his high vis jacket, 'I've even done some preliminary interviewing.'

Jack looked unimpressed. 'Uh huh. And what did you learn?'

'Oh! Loads! But, you know, we can do a proper debrief back at your secret base.'

'Right… And what does this alien look like?'

'Oh, I've got that too. Pink, sort of five tentacle leg things and two antennas sticking out if its head.'

'Kind of burbled in between questions?' Jack asked.

'Yeah! You know what it is, then?'

'Yep. Still got it cuffed?'

'Of course. Just through here,' Andy said, leading them round to the back shed, only to find the alien gone and the handcuffs on the floor.

Jack smirked. 'Slimed it's way free.'
