Summary: Tyrion's fury in the aftermath of battle is barely concealed. A double drabble.

For Tyrion, self preservation was the absolute number one priority. Always had been, always would be. Swinging swords and being brave were ridiculous notions for people like his brother Jaime, who admittedly, at least had the stature to carry such things off.

For once, Tyrion wanted his own height and swordsmanship to work for him rather than against him. With Stannis' men breaking down the gates and flooding in from the Blackwater, it had been the very time when Tyrion should rightly have stood aside and left the fighting to those so inclined. Instead he found himself at the coalface, and now had his own face mutilated as reward.

When he finally did return to court, convinced that his sister had meant him to be killed, he found his anger turned instead toward the boy king who looked down on him. Where were you when your city was burning, Tyrion longed to ask. Even Robert Baratheon, drunken and unable to fit inside his chainmail, would have taken up arms. No Joffrey though. If any Lannister had deserved to die in battle, it was him, followed by his mother.

Tyrion and King's Landing had survived for now, but how much longer?
