Summary: Jack doesn't always need to say things out loud. A double drabble.
'How come this is the first time I'm finding out that you know sign language?' Gwen asked, impressed at the way Jack was managing to both converse and calm the man. You didn't need perfect hearing to have been suitably terrified by the thing that had invaded his house in the middle of the night. The sight of it alone was enough. No one begrudged Jack putting three bullets in it before it tore someone limb from limb.
Jack ignored her until he was finished with his sentence. 'There's a lot of things you don't know about me, Gwen Cooper.' He signed something else and the man gave a small laugh, before signing something back.
'What did he say?' Gwen asked, looking at Ianto for an answer.
'No idea, though I expect we were part of the joke.'
'Wrong,' Jack said. 'I was merely complimenting him on his colourful description of what he just saw. He was returning the compliment for my being able to spell what it was. I think I missed an X in there somewhere, but oh well. Close enough.'
'You are very talented with your hands,' Ianto said, smirking at the double entendre.
'You should know.'
