Summary: Tosh and Ianto will help each other get through the tough times. A double drabble.
Ianto slid the steaming hot mug of coffee under Toshiko's nose. It was only the smell of it that finally broke her from her concentration from the screen in front of her.
'Oh, thanks, Ianto,' she said. 'I didn't even hear you offer.'
'I didn't,' he replied, 'but I could read your mind and tell you needed it.'
His words twisted in her stomach as she remembered Mary and the pendant. She'd spent weeks trying not to think about it, still guilty at having lied to her friends. 'Are you okay?' she asked.
'Sure.'
'No. I mean… the pendant. There were thoughts I heard. Your thoughts. How everything aches without Lisa. I shouldn't have been listening,' she quickly added. 'I took it off straight away, but I still felt awful. I just want to make sure you're okay. That you can talk to me if you need to.'
Ianto perched on the edge of the desk next to her. 'If I was thinking that, I didn't notice it. I won't lie, it hasn't been easy, but I'll be okay.' He gave her a nudge. 'So will you. I don't need a magic alien pendant to see that you're hurting too.'
