Ianto heaved a loud sigh as he entered Jack's office. 'This place is falling apart. I just found a whole section of that hub where the electrical wiring has been cut. Is there any part of this place that doesn't need fixing? Honestly, it feels like all I do is put sticking plasters on gaping wounds around here.'

Jack paused from what he was doing and looked up. 'Which section of the hub did you say this was?'

Ianto came prepared, rolling out a map and pointed to the area with the tip of his pen. Even for Ianto after six months of being here, he hadn't quite gotten to grips with the extensiveness of the hub.

As soon as Jack saw it, he understood perfectly. 'It's okay. I removed that wiring,' he said.

Ianto huffed. 'And why would you do that? The hub needs more lights, not less.'

Jack curved an eyebrow at him. 'Have you seen what's down there?'

'Yeah, a whole bunch of tanks full of creepy alien jelly creatures.'

'Exactly. Give them any light and they absorb it, glowing for months. Trust me. If you think they're creepy now, wait until you see them lit up.'
