Summary: One sound is distracting Gray from acting out his plans. A double drabble.
Gray would enjoy toying with Jack's little friends. It had been vindication for all the years he'd suffered whilst Jack lived happy and free. Killing Jack wasn't enough. Torturing and killing the people he cared about most would be far better. It would hurt Jack, having everything taken away.
Two were dead and dying already. Two more were locked in the cells with the weevils, along with that double-crossing snake John Hart. He'd enjoy killing these two, the ones that Jack loved most.
He was walking to the cells when a sound caught his ear. It was a hollow sound, a banging, like metal on metal. What was it? Where was it coming from? There was no one else in the hub, Gray had made sure of that.
He followed the echoing sound, down into a large morgue. The banging was coming from inside one of the compartments. Curiosity tugged at him. He just had to know what was inside, given how insistent the bag ing now was, echoing all throughout the hub.
He opened the door and pulled out the drawer, misted with fog. With a touch the top slid open, revealing something that made his blood run cold.
