Summary: Ianto has come to face up to what he's done. A double drabble.
Ianto watched as the plain looking fishing trawler slowly steamed into port and navigated its way through the barrage. He was standing there on the dock waiting for it, knowing that it was all he could do to not delay the inevitable.
It came to moor quicker than expected. Gwen was the first off the vessel, spotting him and wearing the same expression he'd worn after his first trip out to Flat Holm. It said "I wish I'd never been there". Still, she quietly said thank you as she passed him. She'd needed to know, much as she now hated knowing.
Jack was the one he was dreading. He didn't look surprised to see Ianto there. Jack must have already known it was him. He didn't look nearly as mad as Ianto expected. He wore that same defeated expression as Gwen, much like every time he went out there.
Ianto stood firm on the dock. He wouldn't apologise for what he'd done. The team needed to know, however ugly Torchwood could be.
Jack stopped in front of him and said nothing, yet Ianto read the wordless exchange perfectly. He'd take Jack home, pour him a drink, and then they'd talk.
