Summary: Owen needs to turn around his behaviour. A double drabble.
Jack wandered down the hospital corridor, looking for the room where they'd kept Owen overnight whilst assessing and patching up his injuries.
He'd wanted to give Owen a bollocking. Ianto had instead suggested grapes. He flung them on the table, knowing Owen wouldn't even appreciate them, confirmed by his statement of "I hate grapes".
When was Owen going to grow up and start acting like an adult, Jack wondered. Tossing yourself into a fighting ring with a weevil just because your girlfriend ditched you was not a wise or rational decision. Jack wanted smart people working for him, not smart arses. And definitely not people who threw away their lives over petty stumbling blocks. Everyone else just sucked it up and carried on.
He wanted to give Owen a reality check and tell him that if he didn't start making smart decisions, he was out of there. Out of Torchwood. Out of Cardiff. Problem was, Owen didn't look like he was even listening, or cared particularly. He wanted Jack to apologise for saving him.
'I want you back at work tomorrow,' he said. If he knew what was good for him, he'd be there, or Jack would come find him.
